Mein Lieblingsbuch von Shakespeare, den ich übrigens ebenfalls verehre, ist wie 13ens Lieblingsbuch, Macbeth!
Meine zwei Lieblingsmonologe aus dem Buch:
Act V, Scene V:
MACBETH
She should have died hereafter:
There would have been a time for such a word. -
Tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow,
Creeps in this petty pace from day to day,
To the last syllable of recorded time;
And all of our yesterdays have lighted fools
The way to dusty death. Out, out, brief candle!
Life´s but a walking shadow, a poor player,
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage,
And then is heard no more: it is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing.
Wie kann man besser die Resignation, die einen nach dem Tod des Lebenspartners ereilt, beschreiben?
Act I, Scene VI:
MACBETH
If it were done, when `tis done, then `twere well
It were done quickly: if th’assassination
Could trammel up the consequence, and catch
With his surcease success; but that this blow
Might be the be-all and the end-all - here,
But here, upon this bank and shoal of time,
We`d jump the life to come. - But in these cases,
We still have judgement here; that we but teach
Bloody instructions, which, being taught, return

To our own lips. He`s here in double trust:
First, as I am his kinsman and his subject,
